Applications

Micro Laser Drill

Fiber laser drilling and micro laser drill are enabling technologies for medical, automotive, electronics, industrial sectors. The materials of interest are the most disparate, e.g. semiconductors, metals, polymers. The diameter of the holes can range from few microns up to a millimeter and the aspect ratio of the holes (depth / diameter) can be higher than 5. According to the characteristics of the materials to be drilled, and the required process parameters (speed, taper, minimization of the thermal damage, etc.) Laserpoint selects the best laser source to be used, choosing between IR lasers, Green lasers, UV lasers and different pulse durations, from microseconds to femtoseconds.

Laser Marking

Laser marking is one of the most versatile laser processes, which in practice applies to all materials used in the industry. The productsthat we use every day, from phones to cookware, from the car to the bath mixer are laser marked. Marking meets several requirements, from product traceability, brand recognition to anticounterfait. Laserpoint has long experience in the micro laser drill and marking field, and having a portfolio of more than 500 applications developed can quickly respond to all customer needs.

Micro Laser Cut

Micro laser cut, micro laser drill and micro cutting are enabling technologies for medical, automotive, electronics, industrial markets. The materials of interest are the most disparate, e.g. semiconductors, metals, polymers, and the width of the cut can range from a few to hundreds microns, with a depth greater than one millimeter. Based on the characteristics of the materials to be cut, and the process parameters required (cutting speed, taper, minimization of the thermal damage, etc.) Laserpoint selects the best laser source to be used, choosing between IR lasers, Green lasers, UV lasers and different pulse durations, from microseconds to femtoseconds.
